FB: Big Ten in the NFL - Week Three

With 233 former Big Ten standouts on the opening day rosters of National Football League (NFL) teams, conference student-athletes have a major impact on the road to the Super Bowl. Every Wednesday, the Big Ten football blog will highlight the top conference performers in the previous week of NFL action. Below is the list of top performers from the previous week.

Anthony Adams, DT, Chicago (Penn State): Made four tackles and also recorded a sack in the Bears' 25-19 victory at Seattle on Sunday.

Tom Brady, QB, New England (Michigan): Passed for 277 yards on 25-of-42 passing and one touchdown to lead the Patriots past the Atlanta Falcons, 26-10.

Dallas Clark, TE, Indianapolis (Iowa): Had 62 receiving yards on seven catches and a touchdown to help the Colts to a 31-10 victory over Arizona on Sunday night.

Owen Daniels, TE, Houston (Wisconsin): Had five receptions for 38 yards and a touchdown catch in the Texans' 31-24 loss to Jacksonville on Sunday.

Larry Foote, LB, Detroit (Michigan): Recorded a team-high nine tackles to help the Lions to their first win of the season in a 19-14 victory against Washington.

David Harris, LB, New York Jets (Michigan): Made five tackles to go along with a sack and an interception in the Jets' 24-17 win against Tennessee.

Ben Hartsock, TE, New York Jets (Ohio State): Caught one pass, a two-yard touchdown grab, to help the Jets remain undefeated in a 24-17 win over Tennessee.

A.J. Hawk, LB, Green Bay (Ohio State): Recorded a team-high 10 tackles in the Packers' 36-17 victory over the St. Louis Rams on Sunday.

Renaldo Hill, S, Denver (Michigan State): Recorded two tackles, but also had an interception, in the Broncos' 23-3 win at Oakland.

Marlin Jackson, CB, Indianapolis (Michigan): Recorded two tackles and had an interception as the Colts defeated the Arizona Cardinals, 31-10, on Sunday night.

Bryant Johnson, WR, Detroit (Penn State): Caught four balls for 73 yards and a touchdown as the Lions defeated Washington, 19-14.

Aaron Kampman, DE, Green Bay (Iowa): Had three tackles, a sack and a forced fumble in the Packers' 36-17 win over the St. Louis Rams.

Greg Lewis, WR, Minnesota (Illinois): Made the game-winning, 32-yard touchdown reception in the Vikings' 27-24 come-from-behind win against San Francisco.

Derrick Mason, WR, Baltimore (Michigan State): Caught five passes for 118 yards and a 72-yard touchdown pass in the Ravens' 34-3 victory over the Cleveland Browns.

Kyle Orton, QB, Denver (Purdue): Completed 13-of-23 for 157 yards and a touchdown as the Broncos defeated the Oakland Raiders, 23-3.

Darrell Reid, DE, Denver (Minnesota): Had three tackles and also recorded a sack in the Broncos' 23-3 victory in Oakland.

Eric Smith, S, New York Jets (Michigan State): Made six tackles and had an interception in the Jets' 24-17 win over the Tennessee Titans on Sunday.

Will Smith, DE, New Orleans (Ohio State): Had five tackles and a sack as New Orleans defeated the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, 27-7.

Pierre Thomas, RB, New Orleans (Illinois): Ran for 126 yards on 14 carries and two touchdowns to help the Saints to a 27-7 victory against Buffalo.

Charles Woodson, CB, Green Bay (Michigan): Recorded six tackles and also intercepted a pass in the Packers' 36-17 victory against the St. Louis Rams.
