After the second weekend of college football, the media and coaches polls were announced today and six Big Ten teams are receiving votes with three teams ranked among the top 25. Penn State leads the way tied for fifth in the AP poll and standing alone in fifth in the USA Today coaches poll. After a narrow three-point loss to USC, Ohio State drops to 11th in both polls. Meanwhile, Michigan makes its first top 25 appearance at 25th in the AP poll after knocking off Notre Dame. The Wolverines are also receiving votes in the coaches poll, while Iowa, Minnesota and Northwestern are also receiving votes in one or both rankings.
