Three Big Ten teams ranked among the nation's top 20 in this week's Kookaburra/Division I National Field Hockey Coaches Poll, which was released on Tuesday.
Remaining as the No. 8 team in the nation, the Michigan State Spartans are 7-3 through the first 10 games of the season, including a 1-0 conference mark after the opening weekend of Big Ten play. Northwestern (9-3) remained in the top 20 with a No. 17 ranking, and Ohio State (7-3) checked in at No. 18.
The remaining four Big Ten teams also received votes in the fifth poll of the season. Indiana, Michigan, Iowa and Penn State all earned points following the first weekend of Big Ten action.
