The final weekend of Big Ten field hockey action begins today as the seedings for next week's Big Ten Tournament will unfold. The Michigan State Spartans clinched the No. 1 seed by winning their first outright Big Ten Championship in school history last weekend, but the rest of the field will be determined by Saturday's action.
Before that, Iowa will end the season in non-conference action when it faces No. 11 James Madison at 2 p.m. on Friday in a neutral-site match in Washington, D.C. On Saturday, the Hawkeyes will wrap their regular season when they face American at 1 p.m. ET.
Also on Saturday, three conference matchups will help determine the final six sees of next week's Big Ten Tournament. At Noon ET, No. 8 Michigan State travels to face Penn State, No. 18 Indiana travels to Michigan for a 1 p.m. ET game, and No. 13 Ohio State faces No. 20 Northwestern at 1 p.m. CT.
