A pair of nationally televised conference matchups highlights another weekend of Big Ten field hockey play, which begins Friday when No. 8 Michigan State (11-3, 2-0 Big Ten) travels to Iowa (4-7, 1-2) for a 4 p.m. CT contest. The Spartans have won six-straight matches, but the Hawkeyes own a 16-5 advantage in Iowa City against Michigan State.
Saturday features two conference tilts when Michigan (6-8, 2-1) visits No. 20 Ohio State (10-4, 2-1). Both teams have won three of their last four games, and with identical 2-1 conference marks, Saturday's match will help shape next month's Big Ten Tournament. Also on Saturday, No. 16 Northwestern (12-4, 1-2) heads to Indiana (8-5, 1-2) in a contest that will be televised by the Big Ten Network in tape delay at Noon ET on Sunday. Both Saturday matchups will begin at 1 p.m. ET.
The weekend will wrap on Sunday with two games, one of which will have conference implications as Penn State (5-9, 1-2) travels to Iowa for a 1 p.m. CT matchup. The game will be aired by the Big Ten Network in tape delay at 8 p.m. ET on Monday. Michigan will conclude the weekend in non-conference action when it visits Miami (OH) in a 1 p.m. ET contest.
