The Big Ten Network will air a 30-minute show on Tuesday, Dec. 8, to announce the 2009 winner of the Chicago Tribune Silver Football, given to the best player in the Big Ten annually since 1924. This year's finalists are Daryll Clark of Penn State, John Clay of Wisconsin, and Brandon Graham of Michigan. The legendary Red Grange of Illinois won the first award. The show, hosted by the Big Ten Network's Rick Pizzo, will air at 11 p.m. ET and will feature interviews with the award's three finalists and a panel of writers including the Tribune's Teddy Greenstein, Shannon Ryan and Brian Hamilton.
