Indiana will play host to Loyola University Maryland in the third game of a five-game homestand. The Hoosiers are coming off an 81-58 win against North Carolina Central in Assembly Hall. Indiana will host Bryant on December 28 and will open the Big Ten season against Michigan on December 31. The Greyhounds ended a three-game losing skid on Saturday with an 85-51 victory over Howard. Michigan State travels to No. 2 Texas for its fifth game away from home this season, including its third on an opponent's home court. The Spartans and Longhorns are meeting for the fourth-straight season and the sixth time in the Izzo-Barnes era, although this will be the first game on a campus site. It's been a competitive series, with each game being decided by single digits. MSU is back in Austin for the first time since capturing the Austin Regional at the 2005 NCAA Tournament. Game Notes

With finals ending on Tuesday (Dec. 22),Michigan will close the semester hosting Coppin State at Crisler Arena. It is just the second meeting all-time for the two programs. U-M won the only matchup with an 81-53 win at Crisler Arena (Dec. 28, 2005). Following the game, the Wolverines will have nine days off before starting their "second" season with the Big Ten opener at Indiana (Dec. 31). This season is the 43rd in which the Wolverines will call Crisler Arena home. Michigan has amassed 499 wins on its home floor. The Maize and Blue look to close in on its 500th victory at home this year, where the crowd will be as raucous as ever to support them. Purdue will play its first home game in nearly two weeks on Tuesday when it welcomes Southern Illinois-Edwardsville to Mackey Arena for a final run before the start of Big Ten play. The Boilermakers have won 15 of their last 16 games, dating back to last season. Purdue has won its last game before the Christmas holiday in five-straight seasons. A win over the Cougars would give Purdue 11-straight wins to open the season, equaling the second-best start in school history and matching the longest winning streak in the Matt Painter Era. Dating back to the start of the second half of the Alabama game, the Boilers have outscored their opponents 114-77 in their last 60 minutes of play. Game Notes

Northwestern wraps up the primary portion of its non-conference season Tuesday night as it hosts Central Connecticut State at Welsh-Ryan Arena. The Wildcats (9-1) enter as winners of eight straight contests and will look to equal their longest winning streak since the 1993-94 squad opened with nine straight victories. A victory against the Blue Devils would give Northwestern its second-best start to a season in school history behind only the 1930-31 Big Ten championship squad which opened 12-0. Game Notes

Thad Matta has directed Ohio State to at least 10 wins during non-conference play in each of  five full seasons in Columbus and is 9-2 this season with two games to play against non-Big Ten Conference opponents. Matta is 74-16 vs. non-conference competition at Ohio State and 62-33 vs. Big Ten competition for an overall record of 136-48. Ohio State has Cleveland State and West Virginia (Jan. 23) remaining on the non-conference schedule. Big Ten play begins Dec. 31 in Madison against Wisconsin. Game Notes
