#4/4 PURDUE def. IOWA, 67-56
Purdue got its first glimpse into how tough the road will be in the Big Ten - a conference where even cellar dwellers like Iowa can make things difficult for visitors. E'Twaun Moore scored 21 points, 15 in the second half, and the fourth-ranked Boilermakers overcame a sluggish start to beat Iowa 67-56 on Tuesday night for its best start in 16 seasons. PENN STATE at MINNESOTA, 75-70
Lawrence Westbrook won a terrific duel with Talor Battle, tying his career high with 29 points to lead Minnesota to a 75-70 victory over Penn State on Tuesday night in a Big Ten opener.
Battle had 23 points, six rebounds and four assists for the Nittany Lions (8-5, 0-1) but couldn't quite match Westbrook shot for shot down the stretch. Recap | Boxscore
