WREST: Weekly Rankings

In the most recent weekly rankings released Tuesday by InterMat, six Big Ten teams earned spots in this week's poll, while seven teams claimed spots in the National Wrestling Coaches Association top 25.

Iowa was a consensus No. 1 in both polls, while Ohio State (No. 3 InterMat/No. 3 NWCA) and Minnesota (No. 5/6) earned spots in the top 10. Indiana (No. 13/No. 13) and Penn State (No. 14/No. 15) follow the Big Ten's top three ranked squads, while Wisconsin (No. 22/No. 18) is the final conference school ranked in both polls. Illinois (-/20) rounds out the Big Ten contingent in the NWCA rankings.

Three Big Ten grapplers rank atop their respective weight classes, according to InterMat rankings. Michigan State's Franklin Gomez tops the 133-pound weight class, Ohio State's Reece Humphrey is No. 1 at 141 and Iowa's Brent Metcalf rules the 149-pound weight class.
