Seven Big Ten wrestling squads earned spots in the rankings released by InterMat and the National Wrestling Coaches Association on Tuesday.

All season long, Iowa has ranked at the top of both polls and this week was no exception. For the seventh straight week, the Hawkeyes are No. 1 in both polls.

Following the Hawkeyes is Ohio State, ranked No. 3 in the NWCA polls and No. 3 in the InterMat rankings. Minnesota is the third Big Ten team in the top 10, checking in at No. 6/ 5. Three other conference schools rank in the top 25 in both polls with Indiana at No. 12/13, Penn State at No. 14/15 and Wisconsin at No. 22/18. Illinois checked in at No. 20 in the NWCA rankings with Purdue also receiving votes in the poll.

Individually, three conference grapplers top their respective weight classes according to the InterMat polls. Michigan State's Franklin Gomez is No. 1 at 133, Ohio State's Reece Humphrey tops the 141-pound weight class, and Iowa's Brent Metcalf is No. 1 at 149.
