MBB: Indiana and Penn State Set to Collide Thursday Night

Penn State will be looking to end a five-game losing skid and post its first conference win of the season when it plays host to Indiana Thursday night. Tip-off is slated for 7 p.m. ET, with ESPN2 providing live coverage from inside the Bryce Jordan Center.

The Nittany Lions (8-9, 0-5) have lost six games by five points or less on the season, including a one-point loss at Illinois and three-point loss at Iowa in its last two games. Junior guard Talor Battle posted 31 points in the Lions last outing agins the Hawkeyes, and leads the Big Ten with three 30-point games on the year. Battle moved into 14th place all-time on the Nittany Lion career scoring charts with 1,264 points and became just the fourth Lion ever to post 1,000 points, 400 rebounds and 300 assists for their career.

Indiana (8-9, 2-3) is coming off an 81-78 overtime victory over Minnesota in Bloomington on Sunday. The Hoosiers are led by guard Verdell Jones III (13.4 ppg.) and Big Ten freshman scoring leader Christian Watford (13.0 ppg.)
