The Big Ten recently caught up with Player of the Week Evan Turner to see what life is like beyond college hoops. Take a look and see what he had to say in today's one-on-one matchup with Ohio State's junior guard.
Q: You have two brothers. What is your greatest sibling rivalry?
A: Backyard basketball. We would play 10 games a day growing up.
Q: Who has the edge?
A: I think I have the all-time record.
Q: What is your first memory of basketball?
A: I played with my brother on a third-and fourth-grade team and we beat the other team 15-0. That was my first organized game.
Q: Best advice ever bestowed by a coach or mentor?
A: Always play hard. It's not about where you begin, but where you finish.
Q: Name one thing that you do to get better everyday?
A: I work on my handle every day. I always dribble with a heavy ball.
Q: What is your most prized possession of no monetary value?
A: We took a photo at my mom's 50th birthday celebration and the whole family is in the photograph. That's pretty important to me.
Q: Favorite thing about Columbus or Ohio State?
A: My teammates and my friends. They mean a lot to me. We really enjoy being around each other and we all relate well to one another.
Q: If you could play anyone one-on-one, who would it be?
A: Michael Jordan. He's the best to ever play the game and I want to see how I measure up.
