Seven Big Ten wrestling teams rank among the nation's top 25, according to polls released by InterMat and the National Wrestling Coaches Association on Tuesday.

Iowa ranks at the top of both polls, boast a 9-0 dual meet mark and won the program's 21st Midlands Championship last week. The Hawkeyes are the No. 1 seed in this week's NWCA/Cliff Keen National Duals. Other ranked teams include Ohio State (#3 NWCA/#3 InterMat), Minnesota (#6/#5), Indiana (#12/#13), Penn State (#14/#14), Wisconsin (#18/#22) and Illinois (#20/-). Purdue is receiving votes in the NWCA polls. Minnesota, Ohio State and Wisconsin, along with Northwestern, will take part in the National Duals this weekend.

Additionally, five Big Ten wrestlers rank No. 1 in their respective weight classes in InterMat's weekly weight class rankings. Indiana's Angel Escobedo (125), Michigan State's Franklin Gomez (133), Ohio State's Reece Humphrey (141), Iowa's Brent Metcalf (149) and Wisconsin's Andrew Howe (165) enjoy spots at the top of the rankings.
