Eight Big Ten schools cracked this week's top 25 of the National Wrestling Coaches Association/USA Today poll and seven appeared in the latest InterMat rankings, both of which were released on Tuesday.

At 14-0, Iowa ranks No. 1 in both polls and defeated fourth-ranked Oklahoma State last weekend in Iowa City. Ohio State and Minnesota were voted into the top five in both polls, Ohio State appearing at No. 3 in the NWCA poll and No. 4 in the InterMat rankings, while Minnesota was fifth in each. Indiana (#11 NWCA/#11 InterMat), Penn State (#13/13) Wisconsin (#14/19), and Illinois (#19/24) appeared in both rankings while Purdue checked into the NWCA poll at No. 25 this week.

Individually, four conference grapplers rank No. 1 in their respective weight classes, according to InterMat. Indiana's Angel Escobedo leads the class at 125 pounds, Michigan State's Franklin Gomez is No. 1 at 133 pounds, Iowa's Brent Metcalf sits atop the 149-pound weight class and Wisconsin's Andrew Howe leads the pack in the 165-pound division.
