MINDR T/F: Minnesota Plays Host to Big Ten Championships

The University of Minnesota Fieldhouse will serve as host to the 100th annual running of the Big Ten Men's Indoor Track and Field Championships. The event first began in 1911 in Evanston, Ill., with Northwestern as the host school. The 2010 event features some of the best teams and athletes in the country with four squads ranking in the USTFCCCA's Top 25. Indiana leads the conference contingent at No. 7, followed by No. 11 Penn State, No. 17 Minnesota and No. 20 Ohio State.

The Gophers will look to defend their conference crown when they return four reigning individual champions from last year's meet. The 2010 event is scheduled to begin Saturday, Feb. 27 and conclude with the mile relay on Sunday afternoon. READ MORE ...
