MBB: Four For Friday

Four games are on the slate for Friday's Big Ten Men's Basketball Tournament quarterfinal action.

Similar to Thursday's games, each of today's contests have interesting storylines.

Of the four games, two feature opponents that have only met once before in the 13-year history of the event, while one contest features a pair of teams that have never faced one another in Big Ten Tournament play. 

In today's second game between No. 4 seed Wisconsin and No. 5 Illinois, the 2010 meeting marks the first time where neither team has competed as the No. 1 or No. 2 seed in their six postseason meetings.

Here is a inside look at each of the four quarterfinal matchups, which begin at noon on ESPN.

Game 6:  No. 2 Purdue vs. No. 7 Northwestern  (6:30 p.m., Big Ten Network)
This marks the first time Purdue and Northwestern have competed in Big Ten Tournament play since the event's inception in 1998.

Game 7:  No. 3 Michigan State vs. No. 6 Minnesota  (Approx. 9 p.m., Big Ten Network)
