The Illinois Fighting Illini will resume NIT play tonight at Assembly Hall when they host the third-seeded Dayton Flyers. The game will tip off at 9 p.m. ET on ESPN2. The winner of the Illinois-Dayton game moves on to New York City for the NIT Semifinals next Tuesday,
facing the winner of Texas Tech-Mississippi. Illinois and Dayton are meeting for the second time in the NIT. In Dayton's only previous trip to Champaign, the Flyers defeated the Illini in the second round of the 1982 NIT by the score of 61-58.
