Purdue's Boudia Captures Third National Crown to Open NCAA's

Purdue sophomore David Boudia highlighted the opening day of the 2010 NCAA Men's Swimming and Diving Championships with a gold-medal finish in the one-meter diving competition at theMcCorkle Aquatic Pavilion in Columbus, Ohio. The individual title marked the third national crown for the Noblesville, Ind., native after claiming top honors in the three-meter and platform events a year ago.

The Michigan Wolverines sit in seventh place with 77 points to lead all Big Ten teams after Day One, followed closely by NCAA Championships host Ohio State in ninth place with 46. 5 team tallies. Purdue is knotted in a tie for the 11th spot with 33 points. Minnesota (29) and Northwestern (2) round out the conference contingent in 15th and 28th place, respectively.  READ MORE ...
