NCAA SECOND ROUND
No. 1 Stanford def. No. 8 IOWA, 96-67
Kachine Alexander scored a game-high 27 points, but it was not enough as Iowa's season came to an end with a 96-67 loss to Stanford in the second round of the NCAA Women's Basketball Championship. Alexander also registered six rebounds, three assists and a block, while Big Ten Freshman of the Year Jaime Printy tallied nine points. No. 4 Kentucky def. No. 5 MICHIGAN STATE, 70-52
Michigan State's season ended with a 70-52 loss to Kentucky in the second round of the NCAA Tournament on Monday. Big Ten Sixth Player of the Year Kalisha Keane led the Spartans with 10 points, five rebounds and four assists, while Lykendra Johnson tallied eight points and grabbed nine boards. FULL STORY

ILLINOIS def. Marquette, 74-72 (OT)
Jenna Smith led Illinois to an overtime win against Marquette in the second round of the Postseason WNIT, putting up 29 points and 14 rebounds. The senior went 9-of-13 from the field, including 2-of-3 from long range, and 9-of-10 from the line, becoming her school's all-time leading scorer for men's or women's basketball. With the victory, the Fighting Illini advance to face Missouri State in Springfield, Mo., on Thursday at 8 p.m. ET. FULL STORY

NORTHWESTERN def. St. Bonaventure, 66-62
Amy Jaeschke tallied a game-high 18 points and 11 rebounds with five assists and five blocks as Northwestern upended St. Bonaventure in the second round of the Postseason WNIT. Beth Marshall recorded 11 points and five helpers, while the 'Cats went 6-of-7 from the free throw line in the game's final 1:38 to preserve the win in a closely contested matchup.
