Buchanan wins his fifth Big Ten Athlete of the Week certificate of the 2010 season after posting four victories in No. 2 Ohio State's dual wins against No. 44 Minnesota and No. 73 Iowa, extending the team's conference winning streak to 57. Playing at No. 1 singles, Buchanan won two matches in straight sets, defeating Iowa's Marc Bruche, 6-4, 6-2, on Friday and Minnesota's 66th-ranked Sebastian Gallego, 6-4, 6-1, on Sunday. During doubles play, the sophomore teamed with Dino Marcan to earn wins over Iowa's Tom Mroziewicz and Bruche, 8-5, and Minnesota's 27th-ranked team of Gallego and Phillip Arndt, 8-4. Buchanan is now 13-1 at No. 1 singles and is 5-1 at No. 1 doubles when teaming with Marcan this season.
