Riley wins his second career Big Ten Track Athlete of the Week honor and his first of the 2010 season. The sophomore reset his own school record in the 100-meter hurdles at the LSU Alumni Gold Invitational over the weekend, finishing first in 13.53 seconds and defeating a talented field that included Olympian Ryan Fontenot. Later Riley picked up a second-place medal in the 100-meter dash, clocking in at 10.62. Riley's time in the hurdles ranks second in the NCAA this season, and his finish was .08 seconds ahead of his old school mark set last year at the Drake Relays.

Joe Kovacs, Penn State

Kovacs wins his first Big Ten Field Athlete of the Week honor after scoring two first-place finishes at the Bucknell Team Challenge over the weekend. Kovacs finished first in the shot put with a launch of 61-5.50 (18.73 meters), a mark that ranks fifth in the country this season. The throw was also a personal best, broke the facility record, and ranks third in Penn State history. He also earned the gold in the discus with a heave of 164-7 (50.17 meters).
