ILLINOIS def. OHIO STATE, 6-3

Illinois busted a 3-3 tie with a three-run ninth, knocking off Ohio State in Columbus on Friday night. Aaron Johnson led the Illini, going 3-for-5 with two doubles and two runs scored. Thomas Shelton and Mike Giller each recorded a pair of RBI. Wes Braun picked up the win with 1.2 perfect innings in relief, while Bryan Roberts earned his eighth save. Drew Rucinski was tagged with the loss, allowing six runs on 12 hits and four walks. Zach Hurley and Cory Kovanda had three hits each to lead the Buckeyes on offense.

INDIANA def. NORTHWESTERN, 11-9

Indiana jumped out to a 9-0 lead after two innings en route to a win against Northwestern, who entered the game tied for first in the Big Ten. The Wildcats stormed back with six runs in the third and three in the eighth, but could not complete the comeback. Alex Dickerson went 3-for-4 with  a home run, two runs scored and three RBI, while Michael Earley was 3-for-5 with two runs and four RBI on a pair of homers to lead the Hoosiers. Drew Leininger picked up the win, while Chris Squires earned the save. Jack Havey took the loss in his first collegiate start. Paul Snieder led the Wildcats with three hits, while Trevor Stevens went 2-for-5 with two runs and two RBI.

PENN STATE def. IOWA, 6-2

Penn State picked up its sixth consecutive Big Ten win with a 6-2 victory against Iowa on Friday evening. Reigning Big Ten Player of the Week Steve Snyder led the Nittany Lions with a 4-for-5 performance, scoring and driving in a run. Mike Wanamaker earned the win, allowing two runs while scattering 11 hits and striking out 10 without issuing a walk in eight innings. Jarred Hippen was tagged with the loss in a three-inning start, while Zach Kenyon was effective in relief, allowing just two hits and two walks in five frames. Mike McQuillan and Ryan Durant led the Hawkeye offense with two hits each.

MINNESOTA def. MICHIGAN, 14-7

Minnesota moved into a three-way tie for first in the Big Ten with a 14-7 win over the Wolverines on Friday night. Michael Kvasnicka led the Gophers, going 4-for-6 with three runs and five RBI on the strength of a double and a home run. Nick O'Shea was 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBI, hitting his 14th double of the season. Seth Rosin earned the win, allowing three runs on six hits and two walks with 10 strikeouts over six innings. Eric Katzman was tagged with the loss. Chris Berset led the Wolverines at the plate, going 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored.
