The Ohio State Buckeyes won their fifth-straight Big Ten Tournament, ninth overall, by defeating No. 2 Illinois, 4-1, on Sunday afternoon at Indiana University and clinched the conference's automatic berth to the NCAA Championships. After Ohio State took a 1-0 lead after doubles, Illinois tied the match with a win at No. 3 singles. The Buckeyes then won three straight matches at Nos. 1, 4 and 6 singles to clinch the tournament title.
