WREST: NWCA All-Academic Team

On Wednesday, the National Wrestling Coaches Association announced the 74 members of the NWCA Division I All-Academic Team, which included 17 Big Ten student-athletes. The team is comprised of wrestlers who have at least a 3.2 cumulative GPA and was either an NCAA qualifier or won at 60 percent of his duals. Wrestlers could also earn a spot on the team with a 3.0 GPA and was named an NCAA All-American.

Additionally, six conference squads were a part of the association's Division I All-Academic Top 30 Teams. Northwestern was the conference leader and was ranked seventh, followed by Penn State at No. 15. Purdue and Michigan State were 25th and 26th, respectively, while Ohio State was No. 28 and Michigan was No. 29.
