M/W TEN: Three Named ITA All-Americans

Three conference tennis standouts earned All-America status by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association on Monday.

Ohio State's Chase Buchanan, Michigan's Denise Muresan and Northwestern's Maria Mosolova were named singles All-Americans. Buchanan finished the season having been named Big Ten Athlete of the Year, and was ranked sixth in the final ITA Rankings. Muresan, who was named the Big Ten Women's Tennis Athlete of the Year, finished the season ranked 18th, while Mosolova was ranked 12th at season's end following a run to the round of 16 at the NCAA Championships.

To be selected as an All-American, a singles player must be a top 16 seed in the NCAA Singles Championships, reach the round of 16 in the singles championships, or finish in the top 20 of the final ITA Rankings. To earn All-America honors in doubles, teams must be a top eight seed in the NCAA Doubles Championships, reach the quarterfinals of the postseason tournament, or finish in the top 10 of the final ITA Rankings.
