"I am thrilled to have the opportunity to join the University of Wisconsin family," Healy said. "The UW athletic department has a world-renowned legacy of winning on a national stage and in the Big Ten."
Healy, who was named the 2007 Horizon League Coach of the Year after leading Loyola to a conference championship, is the second-winningest coach in Loyola softball history. As a player, she was a two-time All-American at DePaul and led the Blue Demons to the College World Series, where the team finished the season third in the nation, as a senior in 1999.
