Big Ten men's golf will be well represented at the 2010 Ryder Cup, with three former Big Ten golfers taking part in this weekend's tournament. Steve Stricker and Jeff Overton will take to the course for Team USA while Luke Donald will represent Team Europe.

The Big Ten Player of the Year in 1988 and 1989 at Illinois, Stricker is playing in his second Ryder Cup after helping Team USA to the win in 2008. Overton, also a two-time Big Ten Player of the Year at Indiana (2004-05), is one of five Team USA players making their first appearance at the Ryder Cup.

Donald, the NCAA individual Champion in 1999, is one of two players in Big Ten history to be named Player of the Year three times. The former Northwestern golfer enters his third Ryder Cup after leading Team Europe to victory in 2004 and 2006.

Tom Lehman, a three-time All-American and All-Big Ten honoree at Minnesota, will also serve as an Assistant Captain for the USA squad. Current Indiana head coach Mike Mayer will serve as Overton's official instructor for the tournament.
