The Big Ten announced football players of the week for games on Oct. 16, with honorees from four different schools. Iowa quarterback Ricky Stanzi earned the weekly offensive accolades, Michigan State linebacker Greg Jones nabbed defensive laurels, Wisconsin kick returner David Gilreath collected special teams honors and Purdue quarterback Rob Henry was tabbed as the Freshman of the Week.
