The Big Ten announced football players of the week for games on Oct. 9, with honorees from five different schools. Ohio State quarterback Terrelle Pryor and Wisconsin running back John Clay shared the weekly offensive accolades, Michigan State safety Trenton Robinson nabbed defensive laurels, Illinois kicker Derek Dimke and Purdue defensive tackle Kawann Short split the special teams honors and Illini quarterback Nathan Scheelhaase was tabbed as the Freshman of the Week.
