The Big Ten is one of only three conferences to boast two top-eight teams in the Associated Press (AP), USA Today coaches and Harris polls. Seven Big Ten programs are receiving votes in at least two of the polls, with four conference schools appearing among the top 16 in all three rankings. Wisconsin is the Big Ten's highest-ranked team at No. 7 in all three rankings, while Ohio State also appears among the top 10 at No. 8 in all three polls. Iowa was voted No. 14 by Harris voters, No. 15 by the media and No. 16 by the coaches. Michigan State was tabbed No. 16 by the media and Harris voters and No. 15 by the coaches. Illinois, Michigan and Northwestern are receiving votes in at least two of the polls.
