Michigan State forward Domenic Barone netted two goals to lead Michigan State past Oakland, 2-0, in the first round of the NCAA Men's Soccer Championship on Thursday afternoon. Barone scored his first goal in the 49th minute before tallying again in the 63rd minute to extend the Spartans' lead. Michigan State goalkeeper Avery Steinlage made four saves in the shutout win. The Spartans advance to the second round to take on No. 13 Butler in Indianapolis on Sunday. The match is set for 1 p.m. ET.
