Justin Meram scored two goals to lead No. 10 Michigan past No. 7 South Carolina, 3-1, in the third round of the NCAA Championship on Sunday. Meram notched his first of the afternoon in the 64th minute to give Michigan a 1-0 lead before teammate Soony Saad extended the lead to 2-0 in the 71st minute. Meram struck again in the 81st minute, giving the Wolverines a 3-0 lead. South Carolina would mark its lone tally of the match in the 84th minute, but Michigan held on to earn the win and move on to the national quarterfinals. The Wolverines will take on either No. 2 Maryland or No. 15 Penn State in the next round.
