Michigan State defeated No. 13 Butler, 1-0, in the second round of the NCAA Championship on Sunday in Indianapolis. Jeff Ricondo scored the lone goal of the match with just over five minutes remaining in regulation to push the Spartans into the round of 16. Goalkeeper Avery Steinlage notched four saves in the shutout win. Michigan State will square off with the winner of tonight's No. 4 North Carolina-Georgetown match in the third round.
