Charlie Gantt of Michigan State was named John Mackey Tight End of the Week by the Nassau County Sports Commission. The Big Ten senior recorded four receptions for 38 yards and a big fourth quarter touchdown that put Michigan State up 28-10 over Penn State which ultimately ended up as the game winning touchdown. This is the first share of the Big Ten title for Michigan State since 1990 and is the first win for them at Penn State since 1965. Honorable mentions considered for this week's Mackey Tight End of the Week include Lance Kendricks of Wisconsin.
