Penn wins her second Big Ten Player of the Week accolade of the season after recording three double-doubles last week, giving her a conference-best 10 this season. In three games last week, the sophomore averaged 19.7 points, 12.0 rebounds, 4.3 steals and 2.7 blocks per game. After a 16-point, 10-rebound effort against California on Tuesday, Penn scored 20 points, hauled in 16 rebounds, recorded six steals and five swats in a win over Minnesota on Thursday before pouring in 23 points and grabbing 10 boards with four steals against Michigan State on Sunday.

Davis claims Big Ten Player of the Week honors for the first time in her career and becomes the first Hoosier to win the award since Amber Jackson on Dec. 2, 2008. The senior averaged 27.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 6.0 assists in guiding the Hoosiers to a 2-0 start in Big Ten play. In a two-point win over Northwestern, Davis scored 24 points, grabbed eight rebounds and dished out seven assists. In a one-point overtime victory in Minnesota, she poured in 31 points, added five rebounds and five assists.

Courtney Moses, Purdue

Moses was named Big Ten Freshman of the Week for the fourth time this season after averaging 12.7 points and 4.7 rebounds per game in three Purdue contests this week. In a pair of Big Ten matchups, the freshman averaged 14 points per game. Against Northwestern on Sunday, she was 6-of-10 from three-point range and finished with 22 points and chipped in three rebounds and a blocked shot. Against Wisconsin, Moses scored six points, but finished with team highs in rebounds (8) and assists (4).
