A pair of Big Ten softball teams appeared in the latest USA Softball and National Fastpitch Coaches Association polls, released on Tuesday. For the second straight week, Michigan checked in at No. 2 in both rankings, while Indiana earned top 25 status in the USA Softball rankings, appearing at No. 24. The Hoosiers are the first team receiving votes outside the NFCA top 25.
The Hoosiers are atop the conference standings with a 14-2 record, while Michigan is second in the Big Ten at 12-2.
