Hello Big Ten Football Fans, my name is Spencer Turkin and I am a senior studying broadcast journalism at the University of Illinois. I am from North Woodmere, New York and chose to attend the University of Illinois because of the opportunities available both inside and outside of the classroom. I hope to become a play-by-play announcer upon graduation. I have called numerous games for Big Ten Network Student-U programing on the U of I campus and will continue to do so this academic year.

Tour Dates: Sept. 8-10
My name is Caitlin Davis and I am a senior at Indiana University. I am from Indianapolis and am studying Sport Communication. I hope to use my major to work in Media/Public Relations in the sports industry when I graduate. One of the biggest reasons I chose to attend IU, apart from the top notch academics of course, is the amazing sports tradition in Bloomington. The pride and school spirit here is amazing. With most of my family attending Indiana and passing along their enthusiasm for IU, I've been a fan of the Hoosiers since as long as I remember. Growing up, we spent many fall Saturdays at Memorial Stadium watching Indiana football. The upcoming season is sure to be a special one as the new era of Coach Kevin Wilson begins to unfold. I'm very excited to represent Indiana and be a part of the Big Ten's mobile tour!

Tour Dates: Oct. 13-15
I have three main passions in life - writing, sports, and traveling. Throughout my college career, I've had the opportunity to do all three. I've traveled to 14 countries, spent summers working in four Midwest states, and studied abroad on two different continents. After all that, there's no place I love more than Iowa City - especially during football season.

My name is Michele Danno, and I'm reluctant to say I just started my last year (and football season!) as a University of Iowa student. Since my freshman year, I've combined my passions by reporting Iowa sports for The Daily Iowan and Although I'm not an Iowa native, I learned right away there's nothing this state loves more than their Hawkeyes! Now that I'm a senior, I'm honored to be representing the Hawkeye state in the Big Ten Mobile Tour. So c'mon Hawkeye fans, let's show the Big 10 why they call us the "Legends!" Go Hawks!

Tour Dates: Sept. 29-Oct. 1
Hello, my name is Eddie Murray. I am a junior at the University of Michigan studying communications with an emphasis on journalism and English. Originally from Royal Oak, Mich., I am in my second full year with the Athletic Media Relations department here at U of M. I am a third generation Wolverine - my mom played softball while my dad worked in sports information, and my grandfather attended the medical school in the 1950s. After graduating, I would like to pursue a career in the sports field, whether it is with PR, advertising, marketing, or journalism. In my opinion, there is nothing greater about Big Ten football than the storied rivalries it holds, most notably Michigan's rivalries with Ohio State, Michigan State, and Minnesota. I am excited to share with you all of my favorite Michigan football experiences through my reporting this season, and as always, Go Blue!

Tour Dates: Nov. 3-5
My name is Brittany McCormick and I am about to start my senior year at Michigan State University. I am pursing a degree in communication and public relations. While I do go to school in Michigan, I am originally from the east coast, New Jersey to be exact. I came to MSU not knowing anyone but in the past three years, I have met some amazing people that I know I will stay in contact with for the rest of my life. I am also a student assistant for the MSU athletic communications department - a job I wouldn't trade for the world. I am passionate about everything I do and the things I love like the Jersey Shore (the actual beach- not the show), ice cream, my friends and family, and of course, sports. I am extremely excited to be State's reporter for the Mobile Tour. GO GREEN!

Tour Dates: Oct. 27-29
Welcome to the Minnesota Gopher view of the Big Ten Mobile Tour.  My name is Kate Garcia and I am just about to begin my senior year here at the U of M.  I am majoring in communications and hope to work in sports when I graduate this spring.  I was born in Dallas, TX, but grew up in a small town in Wisconsin, but am solely a huge Gophers fan! I played soccer in high school and continued my school involvement in college by being a part of Delta Gamma sorority.  I help with events and recruitment, but most importantly with our philanthropy, Service for Sight.  My friends through Delta Gamma and I attend gopher games together and are some of the loudest cheerleaders in the stadium. I am extremely excited for the Big Ten season to get under way and am looking forward to the championship game in December. Go Gophers!

Tour Dates: Oct. 6-8
Hello, Big Ten nation! My name is Makayla Hipke, and I'm a senior Advertising and Public Relations major at the University of Nebraska--Lincoln. I'll be serving as the blogger for Nebraska's Homecoming game against Ohio State on October 8, 2011. I grew up on a farm 16 miles north of the tiny town of Stuart, Nebraska (pop. 620), right on the edge of the Nebraska Sandhills. I'm definitely a country girl at heart and you'll probably catch me using some "country-isms" in conversation more than a few times.

I'm currently in my second year as a student worker in the Nebraska Athletic Media Relations office, where I serve as the sport contact for the Men's Gymnastics and Women's Tennis teams. When I'm not busy with work, I also serve as the Communications Chair for my sorority, Chi Omega, and do university-sponsored research through the UCARE program here at Nebraska.

Nebraska is an extraordinary place because of the endless dedication and passion of our fanbase. Our school song says, "We all stick together in all kinds of weather for dear old Nebraska U," and nothing could be truer. I know I speak for Husker nation when I say we are so excited to welcome Big Ten fans to Lincoln and Memorial Stadium this fall, and show them what it really means to be a Husker. Just remember, there really is no place like Nebraska!

Tour Dates: Oct. 20-22
Hello Big Ten fans, my name is Kristin Scharkey and I will be representing Northwestern University during the Mobile Tour. I grew up in Yorba Linda, Calif. and am entering my junior year at Northwestern where I major in journalism and also play centerfield for the Wildcat softball team.

When I was making my decision on where to attend college and play ball, NU's consistently top-ranked Medill School of Journalism made it impossible for a softball player with a passion for writing not to choose Northwestern. Since then, I've had the opportunity to work for ESPN RISE, pen my own Schark Bytes blog for and write for several on-campus publications. I'm a die-hard Lakers fan and a follower of Jesus Christ, and I am incredibly excited about providing an inside look at the Big Ten through a student-athlete's eyes.

Tour Dates: Sept. 22-24

My friends call me Kelsey. I am your average Philadelphia suburb girl with an above average passion for sports. Living just an hour north the City of Brotherly Love, I have grown to be an avid Philadelphia sports fan. I was even lucky enough to witness Game 5 of the 2008 World Series at Citizen's Bank Park where my favorite Phillies claimed their first world title in 28 years. Currently, I am a junior at The Pennsylvania State University studying Print Journalism with an emphasis in Sports Journalism. Penn State has opened so many doors and laid out so many amazing opportunities for me already in just two short years that I can't wait to see what is in store for the rest of my time in Happy Valley. WE ARE...
