Good afternoon Big Ten fans! I hope you are enjoying the Mobile Tour's stay in Minnesota as much as we are. Tomorrow is Saturday and that means game day here at the University of Minnesota and everyone's getting geared up for a big game!

One of the great highlights on this Big Ten Mobile Tour is the exciting Stagg-Paterno Big Ten championship trophy. All twelve teams in the Big Ten are competing to get a change to play for this great trophy. The road to Indianapolis is not an easy one, however. Minnesota will play twelve games before December 3 rolls around. Tomorrow is not only a Big Ten match-up game for the Gophers, but it is also one of three trophy games the Gophers play this year. The Gophers played Michigan earlier in the season and battled for the Little Brown Jug and will play Wisconsin on November 12 for Paul Bunyan's Axe.

This weekend the Gophers will be up against the Iowa Hawkeyes as they come to town to fight for the Floyd of Rosedale trophy. Last year the Gophers took the Floyd of Rosedale back from Iowa with an exciting win over the Hawkeyes, 27-24. This year Iowa returns to TCF Bank Stadium for the second year in a row and they have their eye on the prize.

The Floyd of Rosedale trophy has been awarded each year at the Minnesota vs. Iowa football game since 1935. Minnesota leads Iowa in number of wins for the Floyd of Rosedale, 40-34-2. The trophy is a 98.3 pound hog made of solid bronze and is a prize both teams look forward to playing for each year. The Floyd of Rosedale originated in 1935 when the governor of Minnesota, Floyd Olson, bet the governor of Iowa, Clyde Herring, a prize hog for the win that year. Iowa's governor accepted and the Gophers went on to not only win against Iowa, but win their second straight national championship. Clyde Herring did not back down on the bet and personally delivered a hog from Rosedale Farms in Iowa to the Governor's office in Minnesota and thus a tradition was born.

This weekend the Gophers look for a second straight win against Iowa as they take on the Hawkeyes tomorrow. In the meantime, take a look at the video of the excited fans storming the field after the 2010 win here! The Mobile Tour is loving the enthusiasm the Gopher fans have, so keep it coming! We hope to see all of you at the soccer game tonight! We'll be there starting at 6 p.m., but follow us on Twitter for all the up to date news on the Mobile Tour.
