Michigan State's Brian Linthicum has been named John Mackey Tight End of the Week, the Nassau County Sports Commission announced on Wednesday. Linthicum earns the award after catching five passes for 71 yards, both marking career highs, in the Spartans' 37-21 win over Iowa. Linthicum was also played a part in helping Michigan State rush for 155 yards in the game. The award is the fourth won by a Big Ten tight end this season.
