The Badgers downed Illinois 70-67 Sunday afternoon. The win improved the UW to 1-3 in Big Ten play (5-11 overall), while the Illini remain winless in league play at 0-4 (6-11 overall). Northwestern 69, Indiana 61
Four Wildcats reached double figures as Northwestern picked up its first Big Ten victory of the season, a 69-61 triumph over Indiana Sunday afternoon. Dannielle Diamant led the contingent with a career-high tying 20 points, including six points on free-throws in the final minute. The win, NU's 11th on the year, was the first time since Dec. 30, 1998 that the Wildcats had emerged victorious from Bloomington. RECAP
Nebraska 77, Iowa 72
Lindsey Moore unleashed one of the best all-around games of her career with 22 points, seven rebounds, nine assists and three steals to lead the No. 19 Nebraska women's basketball team to a 77-72 victory over Iowa at Carver-Hawkeye Arena on Sunday afternoon. With the victory, Nebraska notched its eighth straight win to improve to 14-1 on the season, while moving to 3-0 in the Big Ten Conference. Iowa, which was one of the preseason favorites in the Big Ten race, slipped to 10-7 overall and 2-2 in the conference. RECAP
