Four Big Ten Basketball Players Named Academic All-America

The Big Ten is tied for the lead among all conferences with four men's and women's basketball players named Capital One Academic All-Americans, CoSIDA announced on Thursday.

The Big Ten leads the nation with three men's basketball Academic All-Americans, as Ohio State's Aaron Craft was a first-team honoree, Northwestern's Drew Crawford earned a spot on the second team, and Michigan's Zack Novak received third-team recognition. In addition, Purdue women's basketball player Brittany Rayburn earned second-team honors.

I think Brit Rayburn of Purdue is the best player in the Big Ten this year. She is very good overall for the Boilermakers this year. Without her they would have had a bad season this year. This is from somebody who has watched her since high school in Attica, Indiana.
