Five Big Ten women's
golf teams have earned top-50 status in the first updated Golfweek/Sagarin
rankings of the spring season. Ohio State paces the Big Ten contingent at No.
21, followed by No. 26 Michigan State. Purdue checks in at No. 31, while
Northwestern ranks 35th and Michigan holds No. 48. Three Big Ten golfers hold
top-50 individual rankings, as Michigan State's Caroline Powers is No. 11,
Purdue's Paula Reto is No. 17 and Laura Gonzalez-Escallon is No. 41.
