MBB: Raining Skies, Teary Eyes

Rain.JPGIt's opening day of the 2012 Big Ten Men's Basketball Tournament, and so far, we are off to a rainy start.  Heavy rain and falling temps moved into the Indianapolis area early this morning.  Forecasters have said this is merely a part of a large band of rain angling across the U.S. from Texas to New York.  Locals here in Indianapolis, including several morning drive radio stations, are claiming that it is not rain, but rather the collective tears of an Indianapolis community mourning the loss of Peyton Manning, who was released Wednesday after a 14-year career with the Indianapolis Colts.  Many attribute Manning's on-field success and impact in the community as the reasons the city was able to build Lucas Oil Stadium -- site of the 2011 Big Ten Football Championship back in December.

As for the weather (and Colts fans' morale), it will get better.  Rain moves out this afternoon and makes way for sunny skies and mild temperatures for the next two days.
