Indiana, Iowa, Ohio State and Nebraska picked up wins in Big Ten play, while Michigan, Michigan State and Minnesota earned non-conference victories.

The Nebraska baseball team put together one of its best games of the season on Sunday afternoon at Hawks Field in front of 5,266 fans, as starter Zach Hirsch improved to 3-1 on the year with a career-high tying 7.0 innings on the mound, while Chad Christensen drove in a game-high and career-high tying four RBI's to power the Huskers to a 13-3 win over the Illinois Fighting Illini and a 2-1 series win in NU's first ever Big Ten series. Penn State baseball (5-16, 1-2) dropped its series finale to the Indiana Hoosiers on Sunday by a score of 2-1. The Nittany Lions had just five hits and left a total of eight runners on base. Junior Steven Hill got the start for Penn State and went 6.1 innings deep of two run ball. Hill stuck out four batters, allowed four hits and walked just one. RECAP & BOX SCORE

The University of Iowa baseball team defeated Northwestern Sunday in the rubber game of a three-game set at Duane Banks Field, 3-1. The Hawkeyes have won six of their last nine contests after taking the opening Big Ten series. Iowa has won three of its first four home games after playing its first 16 games of the season on the road. The Black and Gold are in a tie for first place after the opening conference weekend. MICHIGAN def. IPFW, 11-3
Junior LHP Bobby Brosnahan allowed just one hit in six innings of work and the University of Michigan baseball team's offense belted out 16 hits and put up 10 runs in the first five innings as the Wolverines cruised to an 11-3 win over IPFW Sunday afternoon at the Wilpon Complex, home of Ray Fisher Stadium. MICHIGAN STATE def. Oakland, 10-1
On a beautiful spring day at McLane Baseball Stadium before a crowd of 2,149 fans, the Michigan State baseball team extended its winning streak to six games with a 10-1 victory over Oakland Sunday afternoon. The Spartans, who completed the sweep over the Golden Grizzlies and have won nine of their last 10 contests, collected nine hits and took advantage of five OU errors. RECAP & BOX SCORE

MINNESOTA def. The Citadel, 5-0
Senior right-hander Austin Lubinsky pitched 8.0 scoreless innings, while the University of Minnesota baseball team put up four runs in the third en route to a 5-0 shutout over The Citadel, today at the H.H.H. Metrodome. With the win, the Gophers completed the series sweep over the Bulldogs and improve to 12-13 on the season. RECAP & BOX SCORE

OHIO STATE def. #24 PURDUE, 5-4
The Ohio State baseball team won a back and forth battle with No. 24 Purdue, 5-4, Sunday afternoon at Nick Swisher Field at Bill Davis Stadium. The Buckeyes improve to 12-10 with the win, 2-1 in Big Ten Conference play, while Purdue falls to 16-4, 2-1 in the conference. RECAP & BOX SCORE
