Nebraska 11, Illinois 0 (Game 1); Nebraska 5, Ohio State 2 (Game 2)
Lincoln - The Nebraska softball team completed a doubleheader sweep of Illinois with a 5-1 win in game two on Friday in front of 711 fans at Bowlin Stadium. With the win, Nebraska improved to 23-14 on the season and moved to 6-2 in Big Ten Conference play. The Huskers also improved to 9-0 at home this season, and Nebraska has now won 12 consecutive home games dating back to last season. The Husker offense slugged two more home runs in game two after homering three times in game one. Freshman Mattie Fowler and junior Courtney Breault each belted solo homers in game two. Michigan 10, Ohio State 2
COLUMBUS, Ohio -- After falling behind 2-0, the No. 20-ranked University of Michigan softball team scored 10 unanswered runs to defeat Ohio State, 10-2, on Friday night at Buckeye Field. Michigan tied a season-high with four home runs. The Wolverine offense totaled 10 hits on the contest, with freshman designated player Sara Driesenga going 2-for-4 with two home runs and junior second baseman Ashley Lane turning in a 2-for-3 showing with four runs batted in. Freshman catcher Lauren Sweet accounted for three runs with a three-run home run. Freshman LHP Haylie Wagner went the distance in the circle for her 18th win, giving up two runs on six hits and striking out 10. RECAP

Wisconsin 3, Minnesota 0
MADISON, Wis. -- Great pitching and tough defense lead Wisconsin to a 3-0 win over Minnesota Friday afternoon at Goodman Diamond. The Badgers capitalized on eight hits and two errors by Minnesota to improve to 4-3 in the Big Ten (18-12 overall). "Minnesota is a great team and they've been playing really hot all season, especially coming off winning the Nebraska series," said head coach Yvette Healy. "We're really proud of our team." RECAP
