ILLINOIS def. OHIO STATE, 9-1
Junior starting pitcher Kevin Johnson held Ohio State to one run in 7 2/3 innings and junior DH Thomas Shelton blasted a three-run homer in the seventh, his first career round-tripper, to lift Illinois to a 9-1 win over Ohio State. The Illini scored six runs with two outs while holding the Buckeyes hitless in the same situation. INDIANA def. Georgia Southern, 7-2
It was a typical Joey DeNato outing on Friday as the southpaw guided Indiana Baseball (17-21) to a 7-2 win over Georgia Southern (22-18) with a final line that read like this: W, 6.1 IP, 6 H, 2 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 8 K. PENN STATE def. IOWA, 5-2

#17 PURDUE def. NEBRASKA, 8-5
After falling behind 4-0 to start the game the Nebraska baseball team (25-14, 7-6 Big Ten) evened the score at 5-5 in the bottom of the fourth, but Cameron Perkins' second home run of the game in the top of the fifth proved to be the eventual game winner in a 8-5 win for the Purdue Boilermakers on Friday night at Hawks Field.
