Freshman starting pitcher John Kravetz allowed only one unearned run and faced just three hitters over the minimum in a seven-inning outing as Illinois finished the weekend sweep of Mississippi Valley State with a 7-1 win in front of a season-high 1,147 fans at Illinois Field Sunday. Indiana Baseball rattled off 10 unanswered runs against Iowa (10-14, 3-3 Big Ten) to eliminate an early five-run deficit and win its second Big Ten series in as many weekends. MINNESOTA def. MICHIGAN, 4-3 (10)
Matt Halloran hit a walk-off home run in the bottom of the 10th inning to help the University of Minnesota baseball team to a 4-3 win and a series sweep over Michigan, today at the H.H.H. Metrodome. On a 1-0 count, Halloran lifted the ball over the right-field wall for his first career home run and the win.
