Starting pitchers Lance Breedlove and Connor Podkul teamed up to allow only one earned run over 14 innings Sunday, leading No. 18 Purdue baseball to a doubleheader and series sweep of Illinois at Lambert Field. Penn State seniors Jordan Steranka and Sean Deegan once again played heroic roles in the Nittany Lions' huge 6-4 victory over Michigan on Sunday afternoon. MICHIGAN STATE def. INDIANA, 6-0 and 20-10
It was a rough day at the ballpark for Indiana Baseball on Sunday as the visiting Michigan State Spartans (22-12, 5-4 Big Ten) swept a doubleheader and took the series. The Golden Gophers completed their sweep of Northwestern behind some early offense and a solid pitching performance from Austin Lubinsky. Minnesota (20-17, 6-3) got RBIs from five different players on the way to a 6-0 victory over the Wildcats (10-22, 3-9). NEBRASKA def. OHIO STATE, 5-4 and 17-9
The Ohio State baseball team fell to Nebraska in both games of a doubleheader, 5-4 and 17-9, Sunday afternoon at Nick Swisher Field at Bill Davis Stadium. The Buckeyes, who snapped a seven-game win streak, drop to 21-14 overall, 6-6 in the Big Ten, while Nebraska improves to 25-13, 7-5 in conference play. RECAP & BOX SCORES
