ILLINOIS def. MICHIGAN STATE, 8-6
Illinois scored a pair of runs in the seventh inning then got a double play to end the top of the eighth before Reid Roper pitched a scoreless ninth to salvage the series finale against Michigan State with an 8-6 victory in front of 1,294 fans on Sunday. The Illini also wore special orange-and-blue camouflage-print jerseys, which were auctioned off after the game and the proceeds will be donated to the Don Moyer Boys and Girls Club. For the second consecutive weekend, Indiana Baseball swept a Sunday doubleheader; taking two from Nebraska (29-18, 9-9 Big Ten) to grab sole possession of second place in the Big Ten standings. The University of Minnesota baseball team broke open the game with back-to-back seventh inning home runs by Bobby Juan and Michael Handel en route to a convincing 8-2 win over Penn State, today, at H.H.H. OHIO STATE def. NORTHWESTERN, 4-1
The Ohio State baseball team completed a three-game sweep of Northwestern with a 4-1 victory Sunday afternoon in front of 1,448 fans at Nick Swisher Field at Bill Davis Stadium.
