Northwestern 54, Wisconsin 52
Northwestern came out on top in a tight contest Saturday afternoon against the Badgers, 54-52. The Wildcats trailed by as many as 10 points but staged a second-half comeback that included six ties before Northwestern took over for good (53-52) after freshman forward Maggie Lyon drained one of her three 3-pointers with 1:47 to play. Senior forward Kendall Hackney and Lyon led the team in scoring, posting 13 points each for the Wildcats. Hackney broke a Northwestern record Saturday by playing in her 123rd career game. The senior has never missed a game in her Wildcat career and surpassed Laura Augustyniak's record of 122 games played (1979-83). Sophomore guard Karly Roser was close to a triple-double, scoring eight points to go along with nine rebounds and nine assists. Senior forward/center Dannielle Diamant chipped in 12 points. RECAP

Illinois 73, Indiana 60
The Illinois women's basketball team utilized solid shooting (47.3% from the floor) and a menacing defense that caused Indiana to tie their season high of 25 turnovers, to win 73-60 against the Hoosiers Saturday afternoon inside Assembly Hall. Illinois is now 4-3 in Big Ten play and have achieved their first over .500 record in Big Ten since 2003. Karisma Penn led the squad with 25 points on 10-14 shooting from the field. Penn also recorded six rebounds, three steals and one block on the day. In addition, Ivory Crawford totaled double digits with her 13 point performance in which she shot 50% from the field and 2-3 from beyond the arc. RECAP
